Position: Executive Director

Location: Hybrid (Hamilton – Niagara – Halton Region)

Comfort Bears provides stuffed bears and essential support to children facing serious illness or trauma—and their caregivers. We’re looking for a dynamic Executive Director to lead our mission and drive growth. Bring comfort. Inspire hope. Lead with impact.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Shape vision and strategy with our Board

• Lead day-to-day operations and programs

• Drive fundraising through grants, sponsorships, and donor engagement

• Build strong community partnerships

• Oversee communications and raise our profile

 

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of leadership experience (nonprofit preferred)

• Experience working with a nonprofit organization, ideally supporting at-risk children and families

• Proven fundraising and relationship-building skills

• Strategic thinker with strong communication abilities

• Comfortable with technology and social media

• Flexible, collaborative, and passionate about making a difference

 

Hybrid role | 25 hrs/week
